Reiki Raffle Prize

Life changing prize

Five years ago, I won a Reiki treatment in the raffle at a Health and Wellbeing Fair. Little did I know where it would lead me!

In truth, I had always wanted to try Reiki, but had never got around to it – you know what it’s like when you have a career and a family, busy, busy, busy! I really enjoyed the treatment, and felt refreshed afterwards, but that’s as far as I went with it then.

Fast forward to when I was in my final job and I met Alex, an inspirational young Reiki Master – at the time, the youngest in the country. Not only did he impress me, but so did one of his students, now also a Master, who told me that Reiki had changed her life. I was so stressed, that I retired from my job and I just knew I had to start my Reiki training immediately.

It was a strange new world, but week by week, I began to feel better, with this “intelligent energy” magically doing its stuff.

Now I do my daily Reiki meditation (Hatsurei ho), which only takes ten minutes, and self-healing when I need it, and try to live my life by the Reiki precepts:-

Just for today…do not worry….do not anger……be humble….be honest in your dealings with people….be compassionate to yourself and others.

So, it’s all just part of my life! I’m happier, healthier, and more in “the present”. For example, when I drive somewhere, I appreciate everything I see on the way, instead of arriving and realising I didn’t even remember the journey! More importantly, when I’m with a client, I find that I can really concentrate and tune into their needs.

I’ve noticed I’m much calmer, even when I’m out of my comfort zone – and I’m in remission from Rheumatoid Arthritis. My consultant has reduced my medication, apparently a known benefit of practising Reiki. What more could I wish for?

Geoff Boycotts Cancer

Surprising people turn to Reiki. This week, I read that Geoff Boycott, the former Yorkshire and England cricketer, known for his forthright views, turned to complementary therapies when he was beating cancer. In his new book “The Corridor of Certainty”, he wrote that, following his chemotherapy and radiation treatment, he called in a Feng Shui Master to treat his house, and had Reiki and Acupuncture treatments to cope with the pain.  Incidentally, EFT is often referred to as Acupuncture without the needles, so if you don’t like needles……try EFT!

If you would like to be calmer, take everything in your stride and enhance your health naturally, sign up for the newsletter on this website, so that you can be the first to see what the monthly offers and events are.
